Service
Commercial Glazing
Duration
4 working days
Project value
£16,500
Scope
Internal glass partition & panel installation

Project Overview

As part of a commercial office fit-out in Leicester, the client specified large structural glass partitions to divide open-plan space while keeping the area feeling light and open. The oversized glass panels were too heavy and awkward to install safely by hand, so vacuum lifting equipment was brought in for the installation.

The Work

Our glazing team used vacuum lifting equipment to manoeuvre and fit the large glass panels safely:

  • Surveyed the internal space and confirmed panel sizes and fixing points
  • Used vacuum lifting equipment to safely manoeuvre oversized glass panels into position
  • Installed floor and ceiling channel fixings for the glass partition system
  • Fitted each glass panel into its channel with correctly specified packers and seals
  • Applied edge seals and trims for a clean, finished appearance
  • Cleaned and inspected all panels on completion

Results

The finished partitions gave the office a bright, modern feel without the risk of manual handling injury:

  • Large structural glass partitions installed safely using vacuum lifting equipment
  • A bright, open-plan office look achieved without full solid partition walls
  • No manual handling incidents thanks to mechanical lifting of oversized panels
  • Works completed in 4 working days to fit around the wider fit-out programme
