Internal high-level glazing repair & resealing
Project Overview
A commercial building in Leicester had internal glazed screens at high level within a multi-storey atrium that were showing signs of seal failure. Conventional access equipment couldn't be positioned inside the atrium without disrupting the ground floor, so the works were carried out using internal rope access rigging.
The Work
Our rope access specialists rigged safely within the atrium to reach the affected glazing:
- Rigged internal rope access anchor points from the atrium roof structure
- Inspected each high-level glazed screen to identify failed seals and loose beading
- Removed and replaced perished seals around the affected glazing units
- Re-fixed and re-sealed loose glazing beads throughout the atrium screens
- Cleaned all glazing accessed during the works
- Carried out a final visual and seal inspection before completion

Results
The atrium's internal glazing was restored to a fully sealed, safe condition with no disruption to ground floor activity:
- All identified glazing seal failures resolved at high level
